CLASS DESCRIPTION

You will start with the basics in how to make a DinkyBaby. This little 11 inch cloth doll is called NewBorn Baby. She is one of the most popular dolls from my collection of patterns and a great one to learn my sculpting techniques.

This doll is simple and easy to make. She is fully sculpted from her little bald head to her little pink toes. Hand embroidered eyes that are simple enough for beginners to master. You will learn my simple sculpting techniques that can be used on all my patterns. This is a doll that you will want to make again and again because it is the perfect gift to give away to a child, a new mother or just for your own collection. Child safe and this doll is machine washable.

The pattern will be mailed to you.

The lessons will flow as follows:
Lesson 1: The beginnings, tracing, layout, sewing, stuffing and assembly
Lesson 2: The head, drawing the face, embroidery, sculpting, attaching to body
Lesson 3: Sculpting the body, fingers, toes, dimples

Riley Rosenfeld Vicki has been designing and making dolls for over 25 years. What started out to be a quest to design and make a soft doll for her daughter, turned into a business. Unable to stop at one doll she went on to designing more and more dolls. Wanting to make dolls that were child friendly and yet a doll a collector would cherish, she is always striving to offer something new and different.

Vicki has been teaching sewing and doll making locally and though her DVDs. She also teaches at Piecemakers in Costa Mesa, CA. Selling her patterns to many doll makers in the US and to nine different countries, Vicki knows that cloth doll making is alive and well around the world. You have to love what you do and Vicki loves making and designing dolls. She has designed over 25 patterns and has two instructional DVDs on doll making.
