CLASS DESCRIPTION

This horse is sculpted with a kind of papier maché around a base of styrofoam. The size of the completed body of the horse is appr.9 inches long and 9 inches high. You can easily adjust the size if you want.

You will be guided step by step to shape the body of the horse, to make the body parts and to paint the horse with acrylics.

The horse can be used as an object on its own or in combination with a doll. This jumping horse is placed on a stand but you will get suggestions for alternatives as well.

All four lessons will be available at once so you will be able to work in your own tempo. Marlaine Verhelst will be happy to answer all your questions during 10 weeks.

(The kit is optional but highly recommended
because it contains almost everything that is needed for the class.)
Information on how to order this kit will be provided by email in time
for you to have it prior to the start date.

Marlaine is a NIADA member since 1999 and for this organisation Director at Large for the second term.

Marlaine Verhelst is a doll artist for over 25 years and works as a designer for home textiles as well.
Marlaine has 3 children, ages from 12 to 23. Eldest son Polle is working as a webdesigner and also made Marlaine's site http://marlaineverhelst.com with a gallery of Marlaine's work.
Polle also did the layout for this class.
